Hanyu Feng (汉语风) means “Chinese Breeze”. It is the name of a series of graded readers. The books are written in Chinese characters without pinyin subscripts. There are several series of readers 300, 500, 750 and 1100. The name of the series indicates how many words on the HSK list you need to know.
This is one of the best ways to boost your reading and conversation skills to the intermediate level. Each quarter the class reads a book from this series and discusses the details. This class uses books from the “500” level, the 2nd level. (Click on the image to get a more thorough description of the book.)
